T. Boone Pickens testified before the Sentate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee today. Senator Joseph Lieberman called Pickens' plan (which I talked about here) a "classically American message of honesty, determination and can-do optimism."

That's exactly what's needed if we're going to confront rising gas and heating oil prices, as well as long-term energy independence.
